strawberries

when i was a little girl, i ate so many strawberries, that i broke out in hives.
nowadays, i limit my consumption... but it's very difficult.
it was a perfect day to go to the strawberry patch. before i knew it, i had picked over 10 lbs.
a perfect amount to make jam + a couple of extra quarts to give away.

enchanted euphorbia

yay for Spring! we have three varieties of euphorbia right now!
sure, they can sure be smelly- ok stinky- but i love their alien nature!
just two of the three...

still waiting for the other to bloom- a purple leaf variety!

refreshed & inspired

i had a wonderful afternoon at this beautiful garden.
it was a most beautiful, warm spring day! The property also has an 18th century cabin, just breathtaking... an artist's dream space!

a tropical retreat! complete with bromeliads, and tree frogs!
